At iwantthatnow.shop, we believe shopping should be smarter, greener and built around products that are based around sustainability and natural ingredients.
Our mission is simple: to recommend only the products that align with our values of sustainability, quality and conscious living.
I’ve wondered for several years now whether we (humans) will move away from a consumable approach and start living less driven by material things – I include myself in that and some of the small steps I’m trying are: thinking before I buy, recycling everything I use, and generally reducing the number of things I buy that I really don’t need.
Or perhaps, we (humans) will continue to consume but our ability to produce greener products and recycle the majority of what we use will strike the perfect balance.
Of course, money makes the world tick, and whilst when we in the western world purchase something from Amazon (as an example) it creates work and earning opportunities for perhaps people in less developed economies, so we have to strike a balance.
This stat is mind-blowing –
Amazon made around 1 billion Prime deliveries in the UK in 2024, just think of the carbon foot print!
Is this good or bad for the economy and planet?
-
Prime same/next-day deliveries in the UK: 1+ billion items delivered in 2024
-
Global same/next-day Prime deliveries: 9+ billion items delivered in 2024
Let’s say you have shares in Amazon that will contribute towards your pension pot then of course you want Amazon to grow and grow.
But, then on the flip side – is that 1 billion figure out of control?!
I’m not perfect—and don’t expect you to be either. Not every product we feature meets every single one of our principles.
But at the core of everything we do, we prioritise:
- 🌱 Sustainability – favouring eco-friendly, recyclable, and natural materials.
- ⭐ Quality & Longevity – highlighting best-sellers with 4–5★ reviews that last longer than throwaway alternatives.
- 🆕 Innovation – sometimes a brand-new product catches our eye, even before reviews catch up. If we believe it has potential, we’ll share it.
But, it doesn’t stop at what you buy — it’s about how you buy. That means:
- Recycling all packaging (even if it means a quick trip to your local recycling centre).
- Passing on or recycling products you no longer need, rather than adding to landfill.
- Choosing thoughtfully, not impulsively.
We encourage every shopper to think not just about what they want now, but about the impact of their choices tomorrow.
When you shop with us, you’re not just finding the best Amazon deals — you’re (hopefully) joining a community of conscious shoppers who believe every small choice adds up to a better world.
The future is perhaps not about completely stopping shopping, but definitely being more conscious of our decisions.
And then hoping that major businesses do their part to drive a greener future and even our social media influencers who push out products for money – will they stop and think about the impact they are having – or is everything just about the money!
My belief is, if we ALL shop sustainably we’ll ALL start making a huge difference!
Cheers, Mark!
